I have been active in the Democratic Party since 2008 when Barack Obama ran for the presidency. As a person of color, I could not sit idly by as another person of color was striving to change history.

Since then, I have volunteered for the Democrats in a variety of roles. I had the privilege of serving as the Chair of the Placer County Democratic Party. I have been a Assembly District Election Meeting (ADEM) delegate to the Democratic State Central Committee (DSCC) where I have served on its Executive Board. At election time, my favorite activity is canvassing neighborhoods and speaking directly with voters about the many wonderful Democratic candidates who’ve run to represent me in my district.
