Getting hierarchical (nested) data from DataSets

The other day I was struggling with generating XML data from a database I was working with. After talking with a co-worker, he mentioned using Transact-SQL and the “For XML Explicit” options related to a query. So I looked at how to accomplish this task using the .NET Framework.

Olympics For Sale !!

NBC Olympics requires a cable subscription in order to view online content. I don’t have a cable subscription and neither do millions of people. So NBC has decided that those of us in this situation do not need to view the Olympics. This isn’t right, but (for now) there’s not a lot we can do.
